    In inverno, esendosi bagnati i chicchi di grano, le formiche li esposero all ' aria; una cicala invece, che aveva fame, chiedeva loro del cibo. E le formiche le dissero :
    - Perché durante l ' estate non hai racolto del cibo?
    E quella dise :
    - Non sono stata in ozio, ma ho cantato armoniosamente.
    E quelle metendosi a ridere dissero :
    - Ebene, se nele giornate d ' estate hai cantato, d ' inverno bala!
    La favoleta mostra che non bisogna essere negliggenti per non affligersi ed essere in pericolo.
